Qianzhong Chen

Focus: Simulation, Planning, and Control

Qianzhong Chen is a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University and will pursue a PhD in Aero-Astra starting in September 2025, advised by Prof. Mac Schwager. He received his B.S. from both Zhejiang University (ZJU) and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2023.

Qianzhong’s current research interests include differentiable simulators, world models, vision-based reinforcement learning, and cross-embodiment robotics foundation models. By leveraging perception, machine learning, and optimization, he aims to develop general-purpose robots that can enhance industrial manufacturing efficiency.
