Position: Graduate Student
Focus: Design of data-driven guidance, navigation, and control systems
Maximilian Adang is a PhD student in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology. His research is supported by the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship. He has interned with Redwire Space, Raytheon Technologies, and is a 2022 Matthew Isakowitz Fellow.
Maximilian’s research investigates the application of end-to-end machine learning methods to guidance, navigation, and control systems used in UAVs and robotic manipulation on-orbit. His research involves the development, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing of these algorithms.
