Joe Vincent

Focus: Analysis of learned systems

Joe Vincent is a PhD Candidate in the department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. He received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Kansas in 2018 where he was a student researcher for the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets (CReSIS). He has additionally engaged in radionavigation and connected vehicle research during internships for the U.S. Department of Transportation. Joe is supported by the Dwight D. Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program.

Joe’s technical interests include mathematical optimization, statistical testing, sequential decision making, and computational geometry. I enjoy applying techniques from these fields to problems of trustworthy artificial intelligence, and to enhance the safety and efficiency of transportation systems.
