Bio:
Jose Leopoldo “Polo” Contreras is currently pursuing a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. He received a B.S. in Mechatronic Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in 2015, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2021. He also performed research at the Center for Automotive Research at Stanford, developing autonomous driving capability for an experimental vehicle.
His current research interests include integrating learned models into control systems and ensuring safety during real-time deployment of these models.
